The Beatnik was first designed by Nick O’Rorke as part of Reebok’s 1994 outdoor line, as a recovery shoe for post-hike. It was released with only two colorways, a black and brown suede. In FW20, we brought the Beatnik into our global range, and continued to iterate on it every season afterwards, growing the model to almost 10 times the original forecasts in 2 years.

We had gotten great feedback from the first range, and the Beatnik was driving a lot of energy behind the Reebok brand. It made it’s way from exclusive channels all the way down to mall stores, so we had to push it further with new material executions.
SS21 — Persimmon / Indigo Naturally-dyed textiles with a custom jacquard strap, inspired by outdoor mountaineering gear from the Beatnik’s origins.
For this Fall / Winter season, we introduced the Beatnik in it's first-ever insulated variation. This was inspired by the outdoors scene, where we saw a rise in puffer jackets and pants as a wardrobe staple. Puffer slippers are by no means anything new, but these are ones that are meant to be worn outdoors as your main sneaker.
FW21 — Ultramarine / Arctic / Surplus Our first insulated pack, inspired by quilted jacket liners from different factions in the military.
FW21 — Polar White / Alert Red / Carbon Black Layers of fiberball and Primaloft insulation create the puffiest and warmest silhouette ever on the Beatnik.
FW21 — Autumn Orange / Flannel Grey / Vintage Blue A canvas variation of the puffer, featured alongside our quilted liner pack.
