_CLASSICS PATCHWORK PACK
The patchwork pack was a last-minute add to the range. This meant we had a tighter deadline and less sample rounds, but it also gave us some advantages as well. The project revolved around our two icons, Classic Leather and Club C, and how to transform them while keeping their most recognizable details.

The idea of patchwork can be spun in many different ways, as seen above. Process-wise, it can be additive, subtractive, or completely reconstructed. I approached the Classic Leather in an additive way, and the Club C in a subtractive one — Lots of easter eggs and references to inside-out pieces and tear-aparts.
Within both models, there's lots of reinforced stitching, patchworked seams, mixtures of textiles and leathers. These techniques serve to emphasize the existing design language and bring your eye to parts around the shoe that you might not have noticed before.
After the model was designed, we created a range of skus with 6 different color and material ways each — 12 designs. I approached the surface design in a patchwork method as well. Because of the last-minute start, we were able to source all of our colors and material hits from existing skus on the range, creating a literal patchwork.
